Our exercise physiologists design and direct specialized programs to meet your needs. Several programs are offered that focus on the fundamentals of exercise.

These programs stress exercise as a vital part in living a healthy lifestyle as well as information and tips for physical activity. We offer cardiac rehabilitation, sports acceleration, beginning exercise programs, Yoga, and Tai Chi. For more information, please call (937) 558-3988.

Exercise & Aging
Exercise is an important component of health at any age. However, as we age, activity can become increasingly difficult. Join our Exercise Physiologist and learn about the benefits, guidelines, and types of exercises that will help keep you motivated.

Exercise With Arthritis
This class will introduce exercises approved by the Arthritis Foundation. The exercises are designed specifically for people with arthritis to help increase joint flexibility, range of motion, and muscle strength.

Lose Fat Not Muscle
In this two part series, we will determine your body fat and resting metabolic rate (RMR). You will learn ways you can lose fat without losing muscle through exercise and proper calorie intake.

Part I is an appointment to measure your body fat and RMR.

Part II is a group class to discuss a plan for proper fat loss through exercise.

Starting Exercise Routine I
Part I of Starting an Exercise Routine is lecture. Discussion will focus on the fundamentals of exercise, and the basic components of any exercise program. Learn tips on starting safely, setting goals, and sticking with your program.

Steps to Improved Fitness
Crunched for time, but want to be healthier? Join our Exercise Physiologist to discuss 10 steps you can take to achieving a healthier you. Learn tips on making healthy choices, and exercises you can do at home to improve your fitness.

Tai Chi
This Chinese form of exercise for people of all ages, promotes physical health and ease through the use of slow, even movements and breathing exercises. This ten-week program is designed to increase flexibility, improve balance and reduce stress. For comfort, please wear loose clothing and bring a mat or towel. Yoga
Reduce stress and improve balance, strength and flexibility. Taught by a certified Yoga instructor, this seven week class is for everyone from the beginner to the advanced Yoga practitioner. For more information or to register, please call 937-558-3988.

Exercise & Diabetes
Exercise can help control diabetes. However, living with diabetes does require certain precautions be taken. Learn tips for success, benefits or activity, and guidelines you should follow when preparing to exercise.

Exercise in Osteoporosis
If you have Osteoporosis, exercise is very important to your health. The presentation will briefly review the disease of osteoporosis, and the positive effects exercise can have on your bone density. You will also learn the precautions that should be taken when starting a safe exercise program. This presentation is appropriate for those with osteoporosis, and those wanting to learn more about the disease and prevention.

Sit & Fit
You can sit and still be fit? This class is a designed to demonstrate several low-impact, yet strength-building exercises that can be done in your chair! Work on improving range-of-motion and flexibility with or without added resistance. Participation is required!

Starting Exercise Routine II
Part II will focus on specific exercises to get you started. Learn proper form and technique for exercises that can be done at home or the gym. Participation is recommended.

Stretch Good Morning
Learn the values of stretching! This class will provide information on why stretching is a method of disease prevention and muscular development. Exercise Physiologist, Heather Van Pelt, will demonstrate several stretching techniques and audience participation is required. Start your day out right with Heather and STRETCH GOOD MORNING! Walking Program
Walking the right way can lead to better health, fitness, and attitude. Being an efficient walker will help you walk faster and more smoothly. Walking the wrong way can cause injury, and wasted effort. Join our Exercise Physiologist, and learn the basic components of a good walking routine. You will learn about proper walking technique, type of clothing to wear, keeping hydrated, and common walking mistakes.

Zumba
This class will allow participants to achieve a total-body workout. Set to Latin Music, Zumba is a cardiovascular workout in a group setting. Class if for active fitness levels, but can be modified for beginners.
